1. He had JQ. Correct fold. (IMHO)

2. Better play is to check the turn.. and reassess on the river.. you can get to showdown for an extra 40 instead having to fold the river and not showdown

   Yes you could check the turn, but if he did have 9 10, or Q J and is willing to call then you played it perfectly.
