Baccarat Causing Las Vegas Strip Revenue Decline?

  1. I am from Asia and the reason why baccarat is so popular is because it is truly a 50/50 game. There is no house edge in the traditional sense because you can bet on the house if you want. You can have that edge by betting on the house. You either win, lose, or tie. But most Americans do not understand baccarat and discard it as a confusing game that nobody plays and play blackjack instead. If you go to a private baccarat room in Macau, Singapore, Manila, Seoul, you will see players betting fifty thousand dollars a hand. Sometimes a hundred thousand dollars a hand. But not just one or two players, dozens and dozens of players. A low level baccarat player will bet fifty to one hundred dollars a hand, while a low level blackjack player will bet five to twenty dollars a hand. Most mid range baccarat players will have a trip gaming budget of ten to fifty thousand dollars. Most will have markers with the casino. In Vegas, go to the Gold Coast and see the action on baccarat. It's insane. Chinese Americans are betting thousands all day long. I bet that one baccarat table in the Gold Coast sees more money in a typical day than ten blackjack tables at a strip casino. Just go and see for yourself.

  2. Well, as far as I'm concerned, tight slots, Fees, and crazy buffet prices, are keeping my family and I away from Vegas. This has been my experience for several years now, and unless things change, I won't be going back anytime soon.

  3. Las Vegas strip casinos lost the gambling whales to Macau. It started declining in the mid 2000's. Night clubs are the money makers now.

  4. Good Job, Jacob
…Baccarat and Craps are the best 'pro-gambler' games by far
the least edge for the house and both are 'constructive' games in that you can follow play progressively rather than a one-off (21, slots, roulette, poker)
…Baccarat is like 21 plus you can play bank or player
…you can walk around and watch the 'light bars' for past hands (The trick is to play whatever happened last or don't play at all)
…a choppy light bar is to be avoided
…three or more to Player / Banker is a good indicator of trend (then progress your bets)Martingale System
…you start clocking the game from the start and reset your watch at the beginning of the next shoe
…as soon as it shows a 'chop' you take a break to the restroom or another table
…Pro Gambling is a 24/7 awareness or 'time' is your enemy as you dump to the house (and pay for their upgraded carpet)
NOW, ask me about craps …My Favorite

  5. So even the bacorat players have had enough f corporations greed,,,that’s how I read it

  6. So those high rollers just decided out of the blue to stop playing in Vegas? Guess we're just "fee haters" lol

  7. there is no way to statistically come up with a number of lost customers that hate fees and being nickel and dimed. How do you put a number to that? A poll? So you can look at lost revenue and guess anything you want or find any trend in the casino and say oh here it is. Does not mean that is it.

  8. their auto-shuffle machine is rigged. there machine can pick any card to win in baccarat.
