  2. These types of machines in "advantage states" are becoming more and more common in the casino. Basically, the premise is that someone who doesn't really understand the game will get the machine in an advantage state and leave before the machine goes back to it's base game play. The advantage player can then swoop in and play one or a few hands and complete the advantage state and basically have higher odds of turning a profit.

    Doing this type of advantage play can be quite cumbersome, especially if the casino is busy, but if you put in the work, I believe there is a profit to be made in the long run here which is otherwise basically impossible on slots. There will be trial and error involved as it is not always apparent which machines are in a true advantage state until you have some experience. Finally, you will be competing with others who are also trying to do the same thing.
