Rescuing a $10 Vintage Guitar from a Yard Sale

Blackjack Tips Information & Video Source:

I found this 1960s BlackJack Guitar at a yard sale. This violin shaped guitar was made in Japan. This guitar was in a dirty condition, but it had most of the parts intact.

  1. Those MIJ's are a rare find. You got lucky to get one that the neck wasn't all warped on. This was during a time where Japan was very experimental with their factory guitars and tried to copy designs based on sight rather than schematics. — Hence the odd headstock which would be used to hang it on a guitar-boat for live musicians.

  2. Nice score Daniel. That ol' git looks great after you cleaned it up. A nice playable instrument for $10 and some elbow grease. Oh, and I noticed you put flatwounds on it.
