The only things I could compare it to would be a wedding DJ, or an Auctioneer. Both control a room (or area, as it were) and give it pleasant, continuous flow while using constant vocal performance! And both must keep things in an order that requires great skill at memory and an ability to entertain while doing all this, that keeps the attention of those being entertained.
