  2. There is a nonprofit called 'Plight of the Hermies' that is dedicated to ending the cruel business of selling hermit crabs as trinkets, like toys. The Sunsations company in Florida sells them, but unfortunately the mortality is almost 100%, due to horrendously poor care. When they die they get thrown in the trash. Absolutely shameful.
