  1. Thanks Jacob – Even though I’m pretty disciplined it was great hearing this today, needed it.

  4. I’m posting this from another ‘outfit’ that I run with. To keep privacy, I’ve removed the names, the place they played, etc. The story is his. Short version…bought in for $500, got up to $1200, then slowly lost that. Went to his reserves of $500 and lost that, as well. From $700 up on a $500 buy-in to a grand lost. Don’t be him!
…”To sum it up it was like quicksand. Every move was the wrong one. My throw was off due to the ole back hurting after the drive up from XXX. I did have one decent ((23 minutes) roll. They had $10, $15, and $25 tables open. Only place open for me to get in was the $25. I brought $1,000 with me but left $500 in the truck (lil trick to try and make me not play reckless). So I bought in with $500. I play a “don’t pass/odds iron cross”. My version is a don’t pass min bet ($25), $10 on the 7/11 for the come out. After the point I go up on the 5, 6, 8, and the field. Did well for the first two hours. This is also when I had my big roll. I was also up on the “all tall & small” for $5 each. I was sitting at $1,200 at this point. This is when things turned. I personally couldn’t toss the dice more than 3-5 times. Other shooters were hitting the point so I was losing my don’t pass and odds which was more than I was making on the place bets and field. I decided to change it up and go dark side all the way. Don’t pass with odds and don’t come with odds. I held my own for a while but it was slowly dwindling away. The quicksand started getting deep around the third hour. If a shooter had a good tool hitting numbers and points I would play with them the next time. Unfortunately the next time they would set point, 7 out. The shooters that point 7 out last time and I went dark side on them the next time, but they would have a good roll and/or hit their point. So every decision I made was wrong. Basically I went back to the truck got the other $500 and I left down $1000”

  5. Thanks Jacob, I liked this at the low roller level and now even more at this higher level. How many come out losses, or points hit would you attempt to ride out before switching to a light side strategy? I ask this because when I try to ride it out I get burned and also when I switch after three consecutive big hits, I also get burned. Is my feel for the table off, or am I just unlucky? Cheers

  6. This is an awesome builder strategy, recycling the wins, winning more each time because they let you win last time.

  7. Thanks Amigo great Coaching. Good strategy and again telling your followers to leave when you’re up. Don’t wait around for the table to go bad. Good discipline. As long as we don’t have a bunch of come out 7’s. Thanks for sharing. Big Kahuna
