Craps Strategy (Psychology)

Craps Strategy Video Information:

The system I’m using:

1) Play with $100
2) Bet 5% ($5) chips
3) Plan on losing 50% or winning 20%
4) After reaching either goal, STOP!

Rinse and repeat.

  1. Equax,

Trust me when I say that I have been in the same boat as you many, MANY times. This is why I came up with this "system." Another way to think of it is: would you rather be able to pace yourself and make 20% every time you play (or at least most of the time) or would you like to risk it all and — as you noticed — have to keep feeding the casino money?

If you try my system next time, let me know how it went.

  2. Instead of 'buy' bets on the 6 and 8 for $10 each, wouldn't it make more sense to place the bets for $12 each? Higher initial outlay but much better payoff percentage.

  3. You are right. But to mitigate losses, I actually place $6 on 6 and 8 since they need multiple of 6. If I win on the 6 or 8, I would win $7 but lose the $5 in the field, netting $2.

  4. I get what you're saying and I've tried that from time to time, but in my particular experience, I've lost too many times (statistically) to justify that.

Sometimes I bet $5-6-6-5 on the inside numbers and then transfer every other winning to the outside numbers and then every other winning after that on odds. That seems to even out the winnings and losses.

  5. @Adam. I understand where you're coming from, but understand me. I'm not saying you can't win. I only warning you and many others of the pitfalls before playing.

I only posted this because this is the psychology that's been working for me for the last few years. It's actually how I pay my utility bills. 😉

  6. With dice u can run a while without a 7 coming up – and make money – but eventually you will loose money. Playing the DC and DP lines , with odds, is the smartest way to play "IF" you find a cold ore semi-cold table – you will win check http://www.newsblaster.org/craps.html

  7. Roberto;  OK.  You're a nice guy and have made a unique video to show us, BUT, what's this about betting the field and all the non-field place #s (except the 7, of course)?  The gives the House a 5 1/4% advantage on the field bet.  When you make a place bet and lose on the field bet, you're taking your place bet profit down by the amount of the field bet loss.  Just play the 6 and 8 as a place bet and then the house has only 1.52% (that's 8cents on a $5 bet).  You'll last longer.  Don't make the mistake of giving the house the combination of TWO house advantages in a one time bet.  Use the lessor of the two.  The proposition bets are even worse!

  8. You could have condensed that whole diatribe of the first seven minutes and forty-one seconds down into: "The math favors you to win, the bigger the ratio of your bankroll to your target."
