Buy Bets – craps payouts are pretty similar to Place bets. You are betting on one of the point numbers in the hopes it will roll before the seven. The big difference between buy bets and place bets are the payouts. Buy bets pay at the true odds of hitting the number, much like an odds bet. The casino is not going to allow you to make essentially free bets, so buy bets have a commission or vig of 5% Here are the general rules for making buy bets:
Always buy the 4/10 instead of a place bet.
Never buy the 6/8 instead of a place bet.
Maybe buy The 5/9 depending on the casino rules
When you pay the vig makes a big difference on the house edge and whether a buy bet is a good or bad bet compared to making a place bet on the same number.
Some casinos are going to ask for the vig when you make the bet, or upfront, and keep it whether you win or lose. Other casinos only collect the vig after you win the bet. Some casinos have different minimums for their Buy bets and may be higher than the table minimum. For example, you may not be able to buy the 4 or 10 for less than $20 or $25 even on a $10 table. The casino might not allow a $10 Buy bet because the minimum vig of $1 would be 10% The proper Vig would be 50 cents, but craps tables don’t generally deal in change.

Color Up : I noticed on your DOEY / DON'T video , when the 12 rolled on the come out , you as the house collected the don't pass bet , instead of the pass line bet !!!!

Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh has great craps games. Sometimes $5, always $10 minimums, vig paid after wins, and they automatically buy the 5/9 for you when it favors the player – for example a $25 place bet is common on 5/9 to win $35. The dealers will instruct players to buy 5/9 for $24 to win $35 ($36 minus $1 vig) allowing you the same net win for $1 less risk. Great games, great atmosphere.
