I play at golden nugget and el cortez, only 2 tables I play on in my vegas trips.
I disagree with playing the prop bets if you want to be successful in craps.

Bet aggressive early in the roll, my heavens do I see the opposite everywhere I go. It is the worst feeling to bet heavy and BigRed comes early, but the only way I have had grinding success. That bet a little and use winnings to press is a 5xs harder grind IMO. Get in get up & get out, take a break, grab a cocktail, check your football bets, then get back at it!
My tips to success at Craps:

If you're going to play as a random roller, play pass line with odds and Come bets with odds to reduce the house edge and use the FIVE COUNT to increase your chances of winning.
Every dice controler should be able to shoot from every spot on the table. As of right now, it's really hard to get your favorite spot at your local casino unless you live in Las Vegas.
