  1. Assumption: Ron is raising & calling off tight.

What do you think a shove by Gershon with KJ suited becomes?

    Ron (MP1): 14bb (2nd Shortest Stack)

    Gershon (CO): 10bb (Shortest Stack)

    A) A Losing Play

    B) A Break Even Play

    C) A Profitable Play

  2. When you hit 100k subs, launch some merch and maybe give some away. I would love to buy some Poker Coaching Card Decks

  3. Call is the play, if it’s reopen you can jam to a call or get away from it with a 5-bet from opp. If flop bad, you can get away with 7.5 bb effective stack. Good call Jonathan, thanks. A similar position bubbled me the other day in live.

  4. I think people overestimate the "losingness" of shoving with KJ in a situation like this, especially given in this spot it turned out poorly against a strong hand. Some of the time you get the fold which is massive, and sometimes you get called and are behind but win anyway. And if it's a losing play it's only because of the MASSIVE ICM considerations. If you put any additional incentive on winning the tournament such as a slight boost in prestige/ feeling of accomplishment there's an argument to be made it's worth it to take some of these close spots. Also if you are a better player than the field you have a higher ROI in future hands with a large stack compared to a short stack where good and bad players alike can play more closely to optimally.
