Poker Strategy Info And Source:

I flop a set in the WSOP Main Event, but get check-raised when the flush comes in on the turn. Are you ever folding a set on the turn?

  1. 30:27 Anyone want to do this with meπŸ˜πŸ’‹ πŸ’πŸ’–β™₯️❀️

  2. I'd play like that vs passive opponent, but what about good or aggressive one?

I think vs good opponent I'd bet 60-70% turn and check river as he'd probably hope for check-raise and vs overly aggressive player I think I'd probably check the turn as I'd expect big check-raise and very big bet on the river which would put me in very bad situation. Although what's preflop range of overly aggressive player with bluffs here? I mean, they usually 3bet a lot and not call with unsuited Ac, so that they can represent nut fd that they block. And they don't x-r AcQx as they have sd value. So maybe big bet as well, but river… check? They could turn AcQx into a bluff at this point to small bet, right? And I don't think they would call big bet maybe even with KQ.

  3. You have to be very very loose stabbing flop in 4way pot for AQ or weakish Kx without club to stay versus 3k turn bet. When BU bet flop here I would assign range like KT, KJ, KQ, 66, 33, some fd and perhaps sometimes 54s, QhJh. Possibly some AcJh. Problem is that hand like AQ now lose to all Kx, flushes and block hand like QJ. Also if we dont have club ourself we have to fold ton versus triple barrel.

Versus small turn bet I suppose its closer but even then you need to find those bluffs if you lose to all value hands. Villain let us away easy. If it had been 6-7k turn and decent bet on river would be different story. Or at least decent bet on river.
