How To CRUSH LIVE Tournaments with Rampage Poker [World Series of Poker]

Poker Strategy Info And Source:

Today Jonathan analyzes a hand with Rampage Poker that he played in a World Series of Poker $10,000 bounty event.

In this WSOP event Ethan ‘Rampage Poker’ Yau finds himself battling against one of the best tournament players in the world; Sean Winter.

Rampage Poker finds himself in a tricky spot facing a rather large bet on the flop in a multiway pot. He was undecided as to whether he should call or raise as he has a blocker to the nut flush draw with the king of clubs.

When your opponent can potentially have all of the nuts in their range you should be more inclined to call rather than raise. It is important to think of many variables in a poker hand to ensure that you can crush live tournaments!

In bounty tournaments when you generally cover your opponents you should be looking to make the pot bigger so that you have the opportunity to stack them.

  1. What’s the largest amount that you have cashed for in a live World Series of Poker event? 🤑

  2. I like the small river bet. It encourages the made flushes and the missed flush draws to bomb a bluff. Whereas, if you bet big on the river, you're only going to get called or raised by better boats.

  3. Love this format, fan of you both. I like seeing you in a conversation with a player who can ask questions back to you. I watch your videos like “And then what if villain jams though!” and Rampage is doing that sort of thing here.

  4. That’s a tricky one for sure. I like the call in position on the turn until I saw the river now I’m wishing I put some more money in on the turn. Absolutely no way I’m raising that river, you might get like aj to call a min raise but that’s about it, just not worth raising here.
