  1. Very close situation considering most of the time one has the big draw and the other has the overset. You just happened to get the bottom of their range. But run this scenario 1,000,000 times you would see it is what Bart said, neutral to slightly negative EV

  2. This is a very interesting spot and one I found myself in before. The only real difference was I had such a good live read that I put V2 on top set. I believe I had bottom set and not middle and there was a shove from V1 with a draw. Anyway I gave myself a good two minutes in the tank over the decision. My running mates at the time couldn't believe I was considering folding. But I was near 100%(I was right). My point tho, and I did call btw, is if you find yourself laying down sets on the flop at 1-3/1-2/2-5 you're probably making a mistake. Plus there's the added tilt factor I would have had for folding and being wrong vs being set over set where I just shrug…so if Bart says this scenario is close, just throw the chips in.

  3. So since you say that the decision is close to neutral ev in this spot, we can assume that it is a clear fold on a rainbow board?

  4. My thought as the hand developed was someone has A9ss and the other either 66 or 99 (although 99 unlikely giving A9 to other one).

  5. I would not beat my self up to much over this one. Even in a scenario like this, we had to either fill up or dodge 12 cards on the turn and river, so we were only somewhat over 50% equity. And we have to weigh this up against the fact, that we have less than 5%, if either of the other players have a higher set. I guess overall the call might be slightly profitable, especially given we already put it 240, but it cant be with a huge margin.

  6. im never folding a set for 200bb in a capped game on this kind of board. unless im up against nits. i didn’t even listen to the whole call i stopped at guy makes it 240.

edit: i just listened to the rest and this is a fist pump snap call.

edit: bart is wrong here there is no way this is close. alcohol was mentioned villian 1 has a ton of over pairs and nut flush draws. villain 2 has 9Xs, 8s7s, 5s4s to go with sets. no way is this is a fold. i do fold if this board is rainbow.

  7. Knowing the player makes all the difference … would think 4 out of 5 times this would be a good fold with two people raising like that.
