Poker Strategy Info And Source:

“Baby Pairs” full video download and extras at: http://www.thepokerbank.com/videos/splitsuit/baby-pairs/

Baby pairs, “small pocket pairs” or just “small pairs” refer to the lowest group of pocket-pair starting hands in Texas Hold’em, usually ranging from 22 to 66. Despite being attractive preflop, small pocket pairs are notorious for causing problems postflop, forcing even the experienced players in to making unprofitable decisions.

SplitSuit’s aim in this strategy video is to highlight how you can make money with these small pocket pairs, covering both preflop strategy and postflop strategy. There are also frequent mentions of the most common mistakes made by beginner players when dealing with small pairs throughout the course of the video.

Other tips and sections in this training video include:
• How to set mine profitably + a general rule of thumb for cold calling different bet sizes preflop.
• When to open with baby pairs.
• The value of 3betting with small pocket pairs preflop.
• How to play pocket pairs postflop when you hit your set.
• How to play pocket pairs postflop when you miss your set.

  1. I love the vids. They have really helped me with my game, opening up my range, and feeling a little less intimidated by lags. I'm consistently in the top 10 of my league.

    Thanks a bunch!

  2. Split, in the video you talk about targeting opponents for a set mine who have trouble folding, an example being overpairs. Do you have any good in depth videos/articles on how to know when it’s time to lay down overpairs? This is something I struggle with in my poker game and would like to improve this area of my game.

  3. Hi,I have studied your video, really good! Regarding the video around 20:00 ,folding 22-66 OOP is better option than call/raise. I still have questions, is it better to call
in 2019 games ,is there something like PIO or SNOWIE suggest to fold or call ? As pocket pairs is one big profit for micros ,no matter FR or 6max. I'd like to listen your suggestions if you could see it. Thank you.

  4. Split make a parody video of yourself. In the video only say "blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

    For 5 minutes.

  5. Hello, just recently started to watch your videos. I really appreciate the content it is helpful so far.

  6. I don't get why people say "25 x" instead of "25 times". It's not as if the "x" is an unknown variable and you would never write it with a curly font as if it was a letter. I also don't get the phrase "I could care less". Of course you could if you already care a lot but it should be the negative of that to mean anything emphatic.
