  1. Alec, what was your longest LOSING STREAK? How much do you think you lost in your worst bad luck streak. I am interested in hearing about your story of bad beats.

    Thanks!

  2. Alec do you think you could ever write an autobiography and spill the beans on Macau games or is it always going to be a secret to everyone who doesn't play there?

  3. Brandon Cantu is a Cuntu… yes some people meditate before poker and take notes, he should also try hitting the gym!

  4. Rough start to this video but you recovered nicely. Alec and Brandon make a good team.

  5. Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions – I got a lot out of it. Cool point about resetting focus and not letting negativity of others take me off my focus. Distractions are what we see when we take our eyes off our goals.

Great point about keeping in mind the history between players in order to try and read them.

Regarding getting up and taking walks to refresh the mind, that reminds me of three of Tommy Angelo's "Elements of poker":

    1) Play your poker in sets: a set should never be longer than 2 hours but every hour is better. All that separates two sets from each other is getting up from your seat and disconnecting from poker for 5 seconds but 30 seconds to a couple minutes is better.

    2) Learn to quit well: When it's time to quit and book a win or quit to avoid watching your A-game degrade into C-game play, the hardest part is not walking away from the table but rather getting up from your seat. That's why playing poker in sets of 1-2 hours and getting up for a few seconds helps you also practice getting up for the time you know it's time to quit well.

    3) Get set: Athletes "get set" before a play to focus their mind on the upcoming task and be in a physical position of readiness for when the action comes to them. In order to promote awareness and re-focus your mind on the poker table for each hand you should also "get set". For example, be aware enough to remember to shift one of your chips off the top of your stacks to the top of another stack while the dealer is shuffling up for the next hand. "If you can remember to do this 4 hands in row, that's great! If you can remember to do it for a whole session – that's amazing! If you can remember to do it every time, you'll have super-human awareness for every hand of poker you play."

Heck yeah, that's cool you might play the Main Event! Take it down, man!!!
