Beat The Rake in Online Poker in 2019 – 5 Tips

Poker Tips Video Source & Information:

How do you beat the rake in online poker? In this video I’m sharing 5 tips with you, what to do to succeed.

Rake is one of the biggest enemies of an online poker player in 2019. Pokerstars, which has been by far the best site for years has become one of the worst sites for 99% of players when it comes to profit. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t win anymore – you just have to do the right things:

1) Take massive action: Study a lot, whether that is by reviewing your database or even with solvers and equity programs.

2) Play on other sites than pokerstars, they just offer more value with good rakeback.

3) Play less hands before the flop – so many hands are marginally profitable because of rake. In PLO, edges run close so hands become unprofitable very quickly.

4) Play live poker in low rake games – or time rake games. You’ll make more money with the same strategy given you play well.

5) Play mixed games or games where you have a bigger edge. Showtime Holdem is played poorly on pokerstars in the first games of the launch. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/6zK4ckPrQ_0

  1. Making good money consistently is incredibly hard.. The only way I see it possible now a days is to be rolled for high stake mtt tournaments and be very good at them… Cash games are incredibly hard to win on a consistent basis.

the sites that offer the best rakeback do not offer nearly as many $50 plus mtt's like pokerstars does.. it's more worth your time to play the high buy in end tournaments than squeezing out rake back on other sites

It's sad that so many online players literally play microstakes all day to try to make like $30 a day…. Get a loveing real job and life for love sake.. it's not worth throwing your life away…

  2. Hi Andreas, i'm currently having a doubt about the sites rakeback, i play NL5 zoom at PS and it's been going well (8.73bb/100,Moving to NL10 soon), but i'm been searching and the average rakeback for the chests i receive it's 7-12% more or less, whick i think it's pretty low, so i'm considering moving to PartyPoker because the RB is higher and start to play NL10 there, what are your thoughts about Rakeback on these sites? And what do you think it's the best move for a player putting a lot of volume/day to climb up the Stakes?(Game/Site Selection).
    Subbed btw

  3. I played just over 3600 hands and contributed $65 to the rake!!
I only play .02/.05nl how are we supposed to have a positive win rate swimming up this stream!?! Lol

  4. you are living in Switzerland and assuming you play 500 hands per hour your winning rate is 5 usd per hour (plus one usd or two usd) with rakeback. My tip is: stop playing poker, you can make that much actually working in any job in Switzerland.

  5. I am new to online poker , not to playing poker , this rakeback bullbad just sounds like such an extreme rip off that you just simply never play poker online.
I have read " Tony Bet Poker " has % 80 rakeback and far better than any other site ?
I would like to play for money for the first time , but I am not feeding a big cooperate greedy business with ridiculous amount of taxation.
Maybe I need to play at a casino ? , or just pub poker , local games ?
Sounds like a case of everyone getting sucked into bullbad rip offs and not making a stand by boycotting them until they stop ripping people off.
