Your odds of hitting in 4 rolls is 71.65%. With a bankroll of $100 I would instead recommend the following progression:
1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 3
This gives you an extra couple of spins and increases your chances to 84.9%. I personally don't find this system workable as after losing 100 units, I find no remedy.
