This is SplitSuit’s first concept video for ThePokerBank.

In this video, SplitSuit explains how to work out combos for different types of hands. This is followed by practical examples of using combinatorics in both preflop and postflop poker. The video concludes with 3 hand history examples that highlight how combos can be used to help make more +EV decisions.

Other important concepts discussed in this training video include weighted ranges and blockers. There is also a quick introduction to Flopzilla EV Calculator, which is a valuable tool for when working with (and learning about) combos and blockers in Texas Hold’em. Watch Using Flopzilla for an introduction to this tool.

  1. 6 years after and here i'm learning from this masterpiece. Thank you very much my man!

  2. The last example-isn’t the fish correct to call flop and turn? I mean you can’t fold 77 on the flop and on turn he has a gut shot and blocks 78,so blocking one of your value hands but still a lot of bluffs in your range

  3. I will never understand this ever….
    Why?
Because of the opposite logic holds true as well and has better odds
    What do I mean?
How about a simple flush draw in which the statistics say that if u have a flush draw on the flip and someone goes all in with a measly top pair and u have nothing but air that u, the guy who has nothing has a 33% chance of winning????

But the flip side of the coin is that u have a 67% of losing

But we as players only look at the positive 33% and never mention the 67% we’re losing the hand.

I don’t get it, would someone explain to me y we always take the less odds vs. the worst ones??

To me 67% of the time u will lose is horrible odds.

How about if I told u every time u leave ur home u had a 67% of being killed by a couch landing on ur head but u also had a 33% chance u it wouldn’t.
Would anyone ever leave their house?

    Interesting topic at best
