3. Checking the river may have more merit here. He could have a q, but more likely has gut shots/air in his range so let him bluff. Pot sized (I think it's pot? Not sure) does polarise though I guess, he may call down with 8 9 6 or some kinda pair he has but it depends on the player. Unlikely they'd call though. Q is still in your range, though the polarisation with an overbet was the right play if you were gonna bet out. Lemme know if I'm wrong.
