Baccarat Rouge 540 – EDP vs Extrait

  1. Try Widian Liwa almost the same but with a nice twist i think its better then baccarat and i love baccarat

  2. I have the EdP but if I smelled the Extrait first, I would’ve gotten the Extrait instead. The EdP sits well with me but I absolutely love how much smoother and more intimate the Extrait is.

  3. I prefer the EDP. The Extrait lacks the salty/mineral amber note of the EDP. It's more sweet and dense in the Extrait. EDP is more transparent, and that's the way Baccarat is supposed to be. There was no need for a Extrait version, because the EDP was already perfection 👍

  4. i think i know what note you dont like. you know when the dentist is cleaning your teeth, you have this particular smell. that exact same smell is also in the edp. In the extrait that note is still there but toned down.

I dont like the edp because of that note. The extrait i like better but i just wish that particular note was not present in the extrait at all.

  5. Aventus, BACCARAT ROUGE 540Edp , xerjoff Naxos , more than words , Tauer ACDD , Tuscan leather , tobacco vanilla which are your top 3 picks amongst these ??

  6. I totally agree with you – the extrait is deff smoother — I think it’s that almond 🤤 — and yes the original seems a bit sharper almost sour (I think it’s the jasmine being in the top note whereas saffron with almond is the top note in the extrait 🤤) — the original also has fir resin — I don’t know what that is but the picture shows it’s a plant I’m thinking like a pine tree — which makes sense as it would explain that kind of sharp- ish smell similar to that of a pine tree 🤷🏽‍♀️ and woods . I would say the original would mean a little more “masculine” though these are so soft that they don’t stand unwavering in one gender lane — the extrait is Deff creamier and leans a little bit more feminine due to that milky sweetness but hey u still smell the woody notes — anyway — sorry for the long book—- I agree with your descriptions—
