This fragrance melts my soul. Ever present, enveloping, and deeply inviting. It becomes a part of you. I’m a late 30’s male and people frequently ask me what I’m wearing.
Those two fragrances are cousins, NOT siblings. I tried both and enjoy the original one more. It has more finesse and elegance. Ironically, the more expensive Extrait smells cheaper than the original Baccarat Rouge 540. Weird but true.

Hi, I recently stumbled on your channel and already love the reviews you provide. Very in depth, you seem very knowledgeable. I know you said there will a side by side comparison of the EDP and the extrait versions, but I have a questions. So, originally, I got the sample of edp, and I LOVED it, it was sweet, warm, smokey, I was ready to buy the bottle. However, when I tested it again a couple days later (just to make sure I loved it as much as I remembered), I was almost in tears. All that horrible stuff some people say they smell in it – iodine, medicinal bandages and the like – now that's all I was smelling. I am not sure why I experience such a drastic change in such a short period of time, could be that I got very little sleep the night before and it affected my adrenals and somehow the hormonal change made me perceive the scent differently. Anyway, here is my question. Would you say that the extrait version has less of those medicinal notes? I understand that if you never smelled them, you prob wouldn't be able to comment on that at all. I feel so desperate. I want so much to own a bottle of Baccarat, and i am wondering which version would be a safer choice. I appreciate any comments / advice you are willing to disseminate :))) BTW, I ordered the sample of Aqua Universalis Forte based on your review, and I fell in love with it. It is exactly as you describe it. I already ordered the full size!
