how would it be cheating anyways even if he did look at it everybody else looks at theirs and no matter how the rest of the table plays the dealer will always take a card at 16 or lower and will hold on 17 on up no matter what the dealer looks at the mirror is so the dealer can check for blackjack like he said without having to lift up the card and the other players cannot cheat by seeing the card so its kinda like a security device and a safety device (wiout it they couldn't stop the round early due to not looking at all)
