Good stuff – Doesnt Circa have outdoor (but not swim-up) blackjack? Also, remember when the Plaza got all the furniture that was delivered for the Fountain BLU?

Excited to try playing the Blackjack tournament at the Grand when I'm in town in June.

Color me skeptical about the A's tearing down Tropicana.

Glad to hear that the M buffet might be coming back. Silverton would be awesome — Anthony is right, that was a great lower-tier buffet.

Outdoor Gaming In Las Vegas:

Caesars Palace – swim up blackjack

Encore Beach Club – outdoor blackjack, covered area.

Circa – Little covered pit area at Stadium Swim. Blackjack only.

Golden Nugget – Covered area. Blackjack and a mini craps tub.

Red Rock – Covered area. Blackjack only.

Should be noted: all have crappy rules (6:5). CP has some of the worst rules and Golden Nugget has a required side bet which makes it the worst game.

I failed trying to get the $25 tickets for the Vegas area.

I don't know. As excited as I was at first at the prospect of the A's coming to Vegas, I think I'm starting to agree with the people saying that John Fisher is playing Vegas for a chump. Maybe Vegas should tell the A's thanks but no thanks, and wait for an expansion team to come with real money and real management.
