  1. When I play blackjack I always use the Basic Strategy. The side bet is what I call my gambling money. I keep the winnings and losses separately. Twice I've won 100 to 1 on a sidebar
    in which my two upcards and the dealer's up card were a seven six and eight of the same suit.. I had bet $5 and won $500. I never used to play sidebets and found it too maddening when a combination came up and I would have won. I recall two 100 to 1 that I would have won. I'm well aware the odds favor the house much more than blackjack but enjoy the "spice" it adds to the game.
