Best advice I got with gambling is always bet what you can afford to lose. Makes the walk home a bit sad if you lose but not detrimental, and on the occasions you win you walk home with a skip in your step as you plough through a large kebab.
Never play with what you can't afford to lose. At the end of the day, you sit at any table long enough and the casino will win. All of the games give the casino an edge, unless you're counting cards playing blackjack and you're good at it, then you'll make money, otherwise just do it for fun
