  1. Some good ideas here. It's fun to get ahead at the tables with house money, then park your carcass at a dollar bubble craps machine and use that money to test theories and strategies on the cheap. I use my dice winnings to pay from my other Vegas gambling and adventures all without dice setting. I prefer betting on the mathematics of dice with some hunches, trends, and techniques thrown in. I'll watch you. maybe you can change me to a setter.

  2. As a dice setter, my game is $220 on the inside. 2 hits then I take it down to $44 inside, collect and press from then on for rest of the hand. 3 hands maximum per session then leave casino win or lose.

  3. From living in vegas what I picked up was usually most people won’t roll over 5 times. So I place a don’t come bet roughly around 4-6 times depending on the flow of the game vs. how much the table is losing.

  4. no doubt, the short game will keep you solvent. although the long rolls are more infrequent, you don't want to miss out on them when they do come around. if you can get back your initial investment on every shooter, then it makes better sense to stay in the game and position yourself for a long roll since you're on "house money" anyway. at that point you can press or collect every bet to your comfort level and score the big hit. that's how I try to play.
