  1. Hello Mark
Good question…when to buy the 5&9. You know I’ve been shooting craps for over 30yrs and not once have I ever bought the 5&9.
If you Place the 5/9 yes you get paid $7 to $5…if you buy 5/9 you get paid 3 to 2. So if you placed the 5/9 for $10 you would get paid
$14 if you bought the 5/9 for $10 you would get $15 but get charged a 5% commission like you would on the 4/10. As your bets get higher
let’s say $50 on 5/9 if placed get paid $70 if bought $75 minus a $1 commission so you would get $4 more. I guess for me the extra
$4 is not big enough for me to worry about. Not saying that it’s not $$ won but for me I Press & Depress so many times I would lose
Track of playing my strategy for so little a win. Maybe for someone who’s not doing so many Press moves and is just going to level off at a flat bet on the 5/9 then it might be ok. Sorry but just my personal opinion.
    Thanks for your question 👍

I try to get back my Staying Alive Money first. I would play the field after I Press Up a little and then put some $$$ in the field and just have fun with it making extra funds.
Thanks for your comments always appreciated 👍👍

  3. Would it make a difference if you set your dice to a certain number, rather than throwing random for a longer roll.

  4. Hey Richard Nakamoto
I don’t think anyone can set the dice to guarantee a certain number. Sometimes when you set the dice it seems to work but to me once it hits the table and the back wall you have no control and it becomes a random roll. If the casino thought people could set the dice they would ban setting the dice.
    Thanks for your questions 👍

  5. Mel, I've been reviewing your videos prior to my upcoming Vega trip.

    Couple of thoughts:

    1) I like you reinforcing being disciplined. This is the same thing that a good friend of mine told me to do when investing in the stock market. There are systems (varies by individual) but the idea of discipline (staying the course) pays out in the end. So many times you got your investments layout and the markets gets choppy and you wonder if you should "chase". Overall I find that being disciplined pays off versus trying to chase or time the market…which is like trying to predict when the 7 going come out. Maybe this is the reason I enjoy shooting craps…it resembles investing in the stock market.

    2) Reviewing this video several times and then trying to make a chart on the progression of Power Pressing. It would seem that one could go with a simple "$76 Inside" ($20 on 5 & 9 and 18 on the 6 & 8) . I would be putting the $76 at risk on the Come Out but once pass that I would basically have a "$66 ($76) Inside" with an accelerator on the 5 & 9 ($20 vs. $15) and getting to $35 on one hit to get at the "$1 for $50". Not sure if this makes sense but then we'd have a set of layouts $22 / $44 / $66 standard and then a $76 hybrid layout that would be a bridge to the $110 standard and integrating Power Pressing along the way.

You are so correct about the need for discipline in this game. As far as playing $76 inside I used that on my trip and that works fine. 👍

  7. Hello Matt G
Yep I’m in California and yep they use cards. This is my first time playing this way. I’m getting dizzy thinking it’s the dice # but no it’s the Cards. Takes awhile getting used to it. 👍
