Craps strategy- sleepy25 dont come/come

Craps Strategy Video Information:

After the come out you out $75 on the don’t. After it travels you place the other four numbers. And place a come bet. And continue come bet and place 10 odds. And hope the don’t doesn’t get knocked out. Also you can bet the hard way of the don’t just to hedge it a little bit.

  1. I will watch the whole video later. Thanks for trying it out. Even though it didn’t really work for you.

  2. Pass Line Odds bets are 2-1 on a 4/10; 3-2 on a 5/9; 6-5 on a 6/8. So, Pass Line Odds on a 6/8 should be in multiples of 5 (not 6) and Pass Line Odds on a 5/9 should always be an even number. Come Odds bets are the same as the Pass Line Odds bets.

  3. You caught the DC (that moved) gets paid on a Come Out Roll. You also caught the losing Come Bets (that moved) were losers. In admitting you don't know since you don't play them, here is how they work (or don't work). If you don't say anything, the Come Bet (flat portion) is always working as is the traveling DC Bet (flat portion). You have to call the Odds On, if you want them on, otherwise the Odds are OFF.

  4. Kerry W Smyth I think first published this kind of strategy on YouTube some years ago. It’s actually a very fun strategy to play in the casino as there is a lot of action on every roll and the don’t come (DC) protects a lot of the money that you have in action on the right side (Pass Line and Place Bets).

Two of the local casinos where I play offer 10 X odds or better so I’ve modified this slightly to play pass line (PL) and don’t pass (DP) on the come out roll. I can easily protect a $100 DC with a $10 or $15 line bets. Using both PL and DP, I can lay maximum odds on the DP for that single roll where I’m trying to establish that DC bet. If the shooter sevens-out on DC establishment, the DP lay odds fully protect the DC bet. Once the DC bet is up on a number, I remove the lay odds from the DP.

I think Sleepy25 is using a wrong number in the DC based on the table minimum bet. The DC bet should fully cover your pass line, the odds you want to take behind your pass line, and the 4 minimum place bets that you position to win you odds for the come bet moving up to a number. Typically if the DC amount is at least 7.5x the PL bet then it is suitable for coverage. For a $10 table, $75 is an appropriate DC bet amount. For a $15 minimum table, $125 is a more appropriate DC bet. On a seven out, winning the DC bet amount plus the last come bet combined should be greater than the amount of money you’ve risked on the right side in the initial set up of this strategy.

One last element I’ve added, is to add a minimum field bet in the point cycle once I’ve hit a few numbers and I’m into the roll. The field bet takes care of the craps numbers to replace your come bet. On a 2 or 12 being rolled, you actually win the amount of your come bet and replace it at the same time. An 11 wins both the come bet and the field bet. Truly action on every single roll.

If you lose the DC bet during the roll, don’t forget to turn off all of your come odds, place bets and remove your odds behind your PL to re-establish that DC bet. Lay your DC odds to cover some or all of the DC bet as you try to re-establish it. You can leave everything working but it is putting a lot of money at risk on a single roll to simply re-establish that DC number. Thanks for highlighting this strategy it is a lot of fun and racks up a lot of time at the table for comps. You get great credit for the amount of money you have in action.

It's kind of wierd that Kerry doesn't know exactly what some of the odds payouts should be but the system is still fun. StageTech Marine also likes this kind of strategy as his favorite and many times it "looks like" you have so much out on the table but when the dust settles that rack fills right back up.

Brent Auerbach has another kind of cool variation balancing DP against right side Come Bets with odds. He incorrectly mischaracterizes the Smyth and Marine systems as a "Can't Lose" when he cringes at a $75 or greater single DC bet. I get it. It's a big bet for a lot of people but laying odds to protect the DC against the DP in John Patrick style really helps avoid the 7 in that situation. Buckshot repeater on the point and the 11 are your worst enemy. 11 can be hedged so it takes the bad number down to whatever the point is. Any, even 6 or 8 is better than having the 7 beat you!
