The Grim Reaper – A Dark Side Craps Strategy – Own The 7

Craps Strategy Video Information:

This is one of my favorite, aggressive dark side plays. It’s the Grim Reaper from Waylon’s Way Craps

To play this right, you’re going to want 100 units ($2,500 or $10,000 to play this at the green or black level).

It starts out with 5 units on the felt:

2 Units as direct lays on the 4 and 10
1 Unit on the Don’t Pass

When lose, bring them all up 1 unit.
When you win, bring them all down a unit.

This is standard d’Alembert (laddering) logic.

To get extra aggressive, play the Don’t Pass with the Parlay Press strategy and only ladder up the lay bets. This one is a winner.

  1. BROKEN Ladders do NOT work you will always wind up chasing loses with greater losses. And 4/10 very deceptive in its 7 coverage. Pick 4 or 10 never 4 And 10 [ 6 way loss]. The 7 is powerful but remember there are 30 [out of 36] ways to Not roll 7.

  2. J.C Don't betting: Try this on your show. Place your don't bet on the DC box. (Hedge it with a bet on the 11). Now the shooter has to roll the Don't number TWICE for that bet to lose VS only once when you lay it. Then you win you win 100%. "Disadvantage" You can not pick your Don't number and you lose on the 7 ( 16.66%) BUT after the DC bet goes to the number you can hedge that bet and win 100% if you win. ( less the hedge bet) If you have short money this is a good way to play the Don't side. When you lose two lay bets now you are in a big hole aka loose $20 You would have to win two bets ( at $10 each) just to get even? You have not won $1.00. If you do not win 2 bets and lose again you are in BIG trouble. Too much of a gamble for some players. Good Luck at the tables. G-Craps. ( information taken from the P.C. book) P.S. Remember ALL systems win occasion and that same system will fail on occasion. That is why they call it gambling—– See what happens, Let us know—Keep up the good work. ( odds of rolling TWO 4's or 10's before just one 7 is about 10/1)

  3. Glad to see this strategy presented and immediately go so deep in hole, shows the potential of grinding it out.
You always do such a good job of explaining your every movement that you are making. Thanks

  4. What would happen if as per Grafstein, you were to ladder up when winning instead?

  5. Tried it but blew out the bankroll on too many 4/10's ended up getting to table max on 4/10 lays only to be nailed by another 4 then another 10 and finally the 7 after not enough left to go back up.

  6. John, do that let you Lay an Odd number on the 4/10? Don't they say it should be even number since it pays 1:2? I understand when you be both you actually have Layed $150 to win $75, but I am wondering if casinos treat them individually.
