  1. I think you got your points across just fine, good video for someone learning the dont's. I have a few comments to help tweak your video, no bullying here meant πŸ™‚

As far as the 6x odds on dont pass lays, thats not exactly correct. On a 3x4x5x odds table, laying 6 times your base bet will always make your math right for the max lay of odds. Its still 3x4x5x lay of odds. You never have to lay max odds if you dont want to, with a 5 dollar bet, if your point is 6 or 8, you could lay 6 more dollars, that would make a 11 dollar bet risked, to win 10 if won. The same is for all the points.

But for someone learning the math, lay 6x odds of your base bet and you will never go wrong.

As far as the payouts on the don't pass lays, you got the math right, but wrote it wrong. The 4 and 10 pay 1TO2, not 2TO1. You just wrote them down backwards, but explained it correctly.
    So a 4 and 10 are 1:2
    5 and 9 are 2:3
    6 and 8 are 5:6

For those learning the lay odds, bet a multiple of the second number that pays the first that is equal or greater then the table minimum… The donts can take some math at the table :p
On a 5 dollar table that usually means 10 dollar lay on a 4 and 10 to win 5
    9 dollar lay on a 5 and 9 to win 6
    6 dollar lay on a 6 and 8 to win 5

That usually is table minimum on lay bets on a 5 dollar table, but can vary from casino to casino

And as far as house advantage on the Dont's

Player B won more, but had greater risk. When playing the dont's, the player is at risk during the come out roll. He has a 8 ways to loose and only 3 ways to win. Once the player establishes a point, any point, the player on the dont is more likely to win his bet as 7 is the most likely number to be rolled. The player choosing to lay odds can risk less money on a house disadvantaged bet and more on a bet that should break even in the long run (zero house advantage on laying odds) – but we all know we dont have unlimited amounts of money, and it seems that trends do occur, so who knows on any given night πŸ˜‰

Player B risked more on the come out roll, and was able to bypass to a point, now in favor with greater reward.
Player A risked less on the come out roll, less money at risk for when the player is in the disadvantage, but then choose to lay odds with true dice payouts and enjoyed 0 house edge. Player A has to risk more to win less, but in the super long run will end up loosing less money, assuming the universe cooperates :p

As far as the way I play, I play only the dont's
My advice for a new dont player is dont be intimidated by other people, any experienced craps player wont care if you play the donts, and those who make comments are probably loosing their money while you are collecting πŸ™‚

  2. important point: don't bet can be pulled at anytime. bet is not a contract. 6X is pretty common knowledge. if not dealer will "instruct" the player. 100X is way to go. $5 don't pass + $500 laying odds. $500 lay for 4, 10; $510 5, 9; $510 6, 8. when I'm stuck, I'll pull 6, 8 entire don't bet, relying on 4, 10, 5, & 9. only two casinos have 100X odds: Cromwell & Casino Royale. player can make a killing by pulling don't bets accordingly. i don't play don't come, by the way.

  3. don't pass betting with full 100X laying of odds (20X is acceptable, however, but nothing less) is the only way to go in my view. 6X laying odds is not recommended by this player. 6X ain't worth it.

  4. caveat: don't pass betting with full laying of odds isn't a sure thing. it takes patience, remaining calm, and limiting play so as not to get your nose torn open on the dice table.

  5. Great video, you do a good job of explaining everything. You are ignoring the come out roll in your calculation between A and B. Player B can lose $35 to the house on the come out with a 7 or 11. Player A only has $5 at risk on the come out.

  6. If comps are important to you, then be warned that most casinos do not count bets on the Odds towards the average amount you bet, because they don't stand to make any profit on it.
