You are correct on Pass Line bets being a "contract" bet. However, for the Don't Pass bet you are allowed to remove this bet at any time. This is because this bet favors the player so casinos are more than happy to allow you to remove your Don't Pass if you choose to. Now when it comes to playing Craps Online, the Don't Pass bet is treated as a contract just like the Pass Line. Online casinos play by thier own rules because it favors them not the players.
