  1. Thanks for the summary and review! Thanks for the tip on selecting the denomination and tapping the bet – I could have used that one before going! Good tips as well on the … well …. tip button for the dealers and undo/cancel buttons.
    I Tried out Roll to Win craps for the first time recently (Sep 18). My 2 cents: 1) There is a learning curve on getting the bets in time, but found it easy when I got the hang of it;
    2) interesting that it tells me how much I'm betting … a few $10 pass/come bets with full 3-4-5 X odds and its (moderately) shocking how much money I have at risk – like I wouldn't walk up to a blackjack table and bet that much under normal circumstances;
    3) I like how they count the rolls although "hot shooter" after 8 rolls when I haven't collected (hardly) any money yet is a bit much;
    4) the timer allows for a relaxed pace at a an empty table … 1-3 players with basic bets at a regular craps table and the dice can move quickly;
    5) the casino I was at did have a "hot roller" feature bet … paid out after x number of rolls (including all rolls like front-line winner 7s, craps numbers, 11s, etc.). I think it was even money after 8 rolls … and scaled up after certain intervals from there:
    6) I found that at a $10 table with 3-4-5 X odds that I could just select the $25 denomination multiple times and I would get max odds … didn't have to select multiple denominations to get the max odds.

  2. I saw it at the casino and liked it because there were obvious open spots whereas the regular table looked full and intimidating to squeeze in. It was a little confusing when things got automatically locked and pushed up and also locked and I couldn't pull down.

  3. Since the payouts are exact to the penny, buying the 5/9 and the 4/10 are better than placing them, even at $5. The vig is $0.25 on a win for a $5 buy. Still place bet the 6/8.

  4. The Roll to Win table I played on had random enhanced payouts on center bets after all bets were placed. For example, the 2 or 12 might get up to 60:1 vs. the usual 30:1 payout. I thought that was pretty cool and made it worthwhile to spread a few dollars on center bets. I also like the fact that you can do a horn bet for only a dollar! Doesn't pay much, but it's a fun way to kill time and get drinks. You can also play fully hedged which will get you some dealer grief at a regular table, but if you want to get a lot of free drinks without risking any money, this is a good way to do it!

  5. Thanks Ted and Happy New Year. I tried a Roll to Win for the first time yesterday. I recognized several of your Pros and Cons. On the non-Box side the Box Left was way closer to the back wall. I need to take some measurements the next time I go so I know where each of the positions are relative to the back wall for practicing. I got caught trying to swipe to clear my Lay bet and ended up locking my $50 into the Pass and ended up losing it. I figured out the tap method after that. It would be nice if they had a tutorial on the individual screens you could watch to learn the basics if you have never rolled on a Roll to Win table before, maybe Toothpick Productions could approach them to make one 😉 I could not do a Doey/Dont on the Line which I usually do on the regular table other wise the betting was similar. It took me a minute and some brain cells to figure out why the Vig was different than the regular table. My local has a $5 min for now so playing either the Pass or DP was not a big deal.

  6. This was a well done video. Good coverage of details, and i thought it was highly informative. Thank you.
