4 Step Poker: How to Analyse Every Poker Hand at the Poker Table – Ask Alec

Learn Poker Video Source & Info:

My reader Arthur Kharatian asks this week:

“How do you break things down like that during the short time available in a hand? The level of detail in your though process is pretty incredible, especially considering that you do it in the short time frame of an actual hand. I could not imagine myself going through your thought process in any reasonable time frame during a hand.”

Here is the answer!

  1. You forgot something very important… you should always think as well "What hand does my opponent think that I have?"

  2. I am Arthur! Ok, I am NOT him specifically but I have the same problem as he does. I just stop thinking. Then I go into the stupid habit of thinking about my hand and what I can beat. Opponent ranges, outs, strategy, etc, OUT THE WINDOW. It really bothers me too…

  3. hi enjoyed watched you play in the poker millions cash game in Nottingham dusk till dawn poker casino uk. thought you played your winning hands great an i don think you madeanyy bad mistakes on the hands you lost on, any way i have been told that when you bluf you should try and tell a syot to get bluffs through, i would like to hereyour thoughs on that thank you

  4. After reviewing your steps, how do you determine is this could be a bluff worthy hand? Do you have any indicators for this? I don't believe anyone should bluff unless they know who they are playing and have a good feel for their opponent's "style" of play.

  5. You mean 3 step process, I was actually going to buy the book, but maybe he leaves something out of the book. Still good info Alec

  6. What’s with the creepy Islamic music at the start of your vids. Thought it was an Isis video I accidentally clicked on

  7. Rare 3 bet at MGM Springfield. I re-raise a $17 bet with KK to $34, and get raised to $69. I call, and a flop comes all spades. I have a Kspade. I foolishly did not realize I was facing AA. Should have checked, but instead I pushed in $200. He went all in, and I was pot committed. No spade or K came, and I lost. I should have checked or bet smaller post flop. I am still making rookie mistakes not being able to muck pocket kings.
