  2. Tony G called which means he can see opponents hand! Mercier makes last bet and if Tony G wants to see the hand he have to pay and he did it?

  3. If I were Mercier I would have asked to see Tony's cards when he called on the 10-8 A-4 hand lol

  4. Phil Hellmuth wrote in his autobiography that he had a friend that would always ask to see the losing hand and it would set him off!

  5. First situation I think Tony G was right. He did pay $7300 to see the cards

  6. Why wouldn't he wait for Jason to show since Jason had to if he wanted to see the hand? I see this all the time, make them show before you do, that's not bad etiquette. Honestly, not showing your cards first when you're the better is bad etiquette.

  7. "I'll show you the hand if you show me the dustbuster that got stuck on your lower lip last night."

  8. The calling player has the right to see the cards only if he requests it (that's why the dealer showed them to him). The problem is that it's culturally considered "bad etiquette" in many places, since you already have the pot and can tell you were bluffing without seeing the cards.

  9. He paid and has a reason to want to see it. This is one reason that when I call a bet ahead of me on the river, I'll wait until I see their cards before showing what I strongly believe is the strongest hand and calling a bluff. I see no reason to make this big of a deal over it. Just tell him no like Mercier did and move on. No need to keep hounding him, especially when he was told he shouldn't have asked.
