Hi Nathan just started watching some of your vids from 8/12 years ago unlike most would be youtubers poker experts you make 100% sense.
Instead of the word “Poker” you can insert the word “chess.” Your words of wisdom apply to many things in life.
I would be surprised is 1-2% of people make life changing money playing poker. I would bet the number is closer to 1 in 100,000… or .001%. I think you are overstating how many people can really make great money at poker!
Do you have a video on playing with multiple bad players? I can beat 1 or 2 but when you have 4&5 that consistently call chances go way down no matter how good you play. I play at Foxwoods and get sucked out on to many times a session. Get it in good and one of them hits. Way to frustrating to see bad play get rewarded night after night.
I'd agree you need to take care of yourself before taking care of poker because it's very easy to get careless at the tables if your tired or don't have a good eating habit. Lack of sleep and empty calories are a poker player's nightmare

The answer to this is the Pareto distribution. The square root of the # of players make 50% of the $. For example, if there are 1,000,000 players 1,000 make 1/2 the $. See Jordan Peterson's videos on this.

I recently recalled a conversation with Bowling Hall of Famer Johnny Petraglia, Sr. I told him about having seen him many years early in a large bowling establishment, by himself, throwing frame after frame after frame.
