What impresses you the most about Phil Ivey? To many poker players he is one of the GOATs and it’s hard to argue with his results and ability to stay at the top.
I don’t know exactly how he does what he does or how he figures his way through poker hands, but his ability to put you in a spot where you both have to just use pure poker thinking ability and THEN out-think you is unmatched.

In 5 years time solvers will be out and people will be trying to learn to play like ivey again….everything that comes out in the interim is just a distraction to earn people money and make you a worse player while you fund the end boss ivey, directly or indirectly. Think of all the training sites from even only 10 years ago, you wouldn’t use any of that as a resource to learn from nowadays. Look at training stuff 15 years ago….pathetic!!! Super system is the only thing that still holds up but solver kids will learn nothing from that book I’m the same a Frenchman will learn nothing from a Japanese poetry book.

One thing i will never forget with Ivey.
Antonious said something to him like he thought he was more likely to bluff in a specific pot.
Then Ivey said that he was probably more unlikely to be bluffing because he was stuck.
More unlikely to be bluffing because he was stuck.
That is so rare and so disciplined i have no words.
He just never tilts.
Can't recall seeing him totally tilt.
He was a monster in live play, and online before ppl really understood the game. There's a reason hes not a killer online anymore but is still great live.

Worst Phil Ivey impression ever. Doesn't sound anything like him.
He is insane because he dominates live cash games, online cash games, and tournaments.
The crazy thing is he's this good and he can STILL level his game up! His interview with DNegs he admitted he's never used solvers or studied any of the modern components of the game. His intuition and reading abilities are just off the charts.
