  1. Shoutout to Charlie Carrel, the one who started the F*** Movement!

  2. why would someone x a flopped flush IP????????????? sorry, Alex but I didn't like your analysis on this video.
also, if you want to fold 1 pair hand, Why the f would you overbet?
don't know man, I personally don't like either of this hands as played, and trust me I'm not a PIO / I need to be balanced guy

  3. In that TT hand, are you betting the same size with AK? If you bet big with top top and small with 2nd pair, that's a surefire way to let any competent player exploit you. That's the crux of the GTO vs exploitative debate. Against players that you will never play with again, you can get away with that, but give a decent reg a thousand hand sample size and you will start getting crushed by consistently tailoring your bet size to the strength of your hand.

I guess it comes down to what we all already know- exploit the fish and play at least semi-balanced vs. regs so they can't exploit you.

  4. I way overhyped GTO play and bit by bit I started to understand what F*** GTO means and how to apply it in different areas. Playing Rock paper scissors and only playing GTO will just be disastrous, since your opponent can literally not change his strategy to win (or lose!) more. And then there is rake…

This analogy does not apply to poker entirely, there are tons of strategies that will make you lose more. But I guess it is clear that if we all play GTO, we will just be paying rake to pokersites. Keypoint from this video for me is that we should if possible play not GTO and in such a way that we dont come in nasty "have to call down and have no clue" situations. Try to keep it such that you wont make big mistakes.

  5. In the TT hand you don't only check back pocket pairs below A. You generally check back A2-AT also, sometimes even AA, depends on the opponent because you don't have 3 streets of value (not with AA obviously) and this way you protect your checking back range. If you bet with these hands (like TT) and villain x/r-es you, you are focked, if you bet you still don't know what he has, he could have Ax, 8x, 3x, 99, fd, bd fd, airball so he can bluff you on the river just like if you check back here. Btw generally on Axx boards if you check back people don't bluff 2 streets.

I think GTO and exploitative style combined together works pretty well.

  6. I've been trying these in 45 guy S&G's, of the last four I played I finished 20th, 5th, 7th and 3rd. Not like before…

  7. GTO is good to know, but the most +EV line is to go after stupid mistakes opponents make. OMC only shoves river with the nuts = exploitative fold. It takes a lot of experience to feel good about exploiting someone by simply folding.

  8. My biggest ah ha moment was range capping I realized I had a huge leak… it allows other players to get an ez read and bet me out on draws on the turn perceived to have hit I need to c bet more like 1/3 to make my overpaid look like a cheap draw
