INSANE Doug Polk Bluff? Elite Poker Pro Breaks It Down

Poker Strategy Info And Source:

The game is $100/$200 No Limit Hold’em at The Lodge Card Club. @Doug Polk Poker picks up a nice hand and raises it up, but @Ginge Poker has him dominated with Ace-King suited. Neither player hits anything super strong by the river, though, and that leads to some interesting plays. But were they sharp plays? Super High Roller regular and cash game crusher Nick Petrangelo runs through the hand to analyze each decision while touching on live poker strategy in general. This is part 1 of a 4-part strategy series from Nick that will help you win more in live cash games.

Nick Petrangelo is about to release a new course called Smash Live Cash (ft. @Brad Owen). The course has been in development for over a year and will be the absolute best way to take your live cash game skills to the next level.

  1. Get more like this from Nick Petrangelo next Friday when part 2 of this series comes out. Save your seat in the new Smash Live Cash course (ft. Brad Owen) here: https://upswingpoker.com/smash-live-cash-early-registration/

  2. Perfect Nick! Amazing that you try to hammer in for your listeners/viewers the concept of play the man live. These aren't all GTO monsters we're playing against live.

  3. No offense, but the commentary almost basically tells on itself at around 10:30 when Nick says solvers, “computer land” etc says not to do this but then explains why in person at the table he did it and why it worked. Seems like the overall moral of this video is that charts/solvers etc aren’t the end all/be all, especially in cash games. Personally, I’ve evolved into incorporating much more GTO into my tournament preparation than I ever do in cash games

  4. Does this course include ranges for BTN Straddle games? Is there a lot of depth into 3-5 way pots from UTG & +1, BTN, BB? I would normally be the PFR in EP unless there are fish limping in the blinds on BTN straddle w/ people in the field who tend to overcall 85-90% of the hands they would also limp in with, making the RFI less effective.

  5. I would of done same thing Doug did. Well played by him. People don't realize how good Doug is at poker cause they see one hero call or bluff that didn't work out for him. He's next level. Anyone who thinks he can't make a living playing poker is nuts. Even though Ginge lost the hand I am Impressed with his play as well. He understands what Doug is capable of. If he made the hero call that would of been sick.

  6. Hi Upswing poker
I play live $1-$2 cash game on a regular basis over the weekend at my local.
Is there any point to learn with solvers at this level? Even up to $2-$5?
Don't you think that at small stakes the solvers are out of the window?
I mean people coming down to local on the weekend to socialize and have fun. They don't care solvers.
I'm not saying that to analyze solvers are bad but I don't think it's worth it at small stakes.
Should I just play with my instincts and guts rather than what solver would do??
Thanks guys, love the contents. 👍😉🍀
