  1. By the way its a fair point about people not understanding how to behave in live games. But is the underlying issue not more about online players moving into live poker? I mean on TV you see these guys, some even rather famous, who wear hoodies, sunglasses and earphones, and its just not creating a friendly or fun atmosphere.

  2. When you say euro. Do you mean all of Europe. Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Scandinavia?

I’m from the uk. And there is a lot of recreational fun poker here. Absolute tons of the stuff. From redtooth pub poker through to sitting in your local casino. Yea of course the aim is to win money. Isn’t it everyone’s? But there is a hell of a lot of fun poker tables. Laughing drinking etc.

  3. IMO, big mistake for Hero to just call the flop bet here after Villain 1 bets 50 and it gets called by Villain 2. You have to raise this 3
handed esp given the board texture with 2 hearts on board. I think you can make an argument if its just heads up to smooth call in position after flop there, but def. not 3 handed. You are letting every single possible drawing hand in cheap, and when that 4 comes, its a disaster. Plus if a heart comes on turn, you are guessing the whole way. I think a raise there after the flop to about 275 is the proper play from the Hero's perspective. If drawing hands call there, then you just chalk it up to bad luck.

  4. You're right, UK players are significantly stronger in general than North American players

  5. Just for the record Bart, and I love all the videos, but I am a winning pro and I'm playing exploitative all day against rec players, its in the 20% or less of spots, the final day of a 500k guarantee 1100 buy-in, and I know or know of like a quarter of the people left that I start really thinking about balance and not being exploited myself, that's not true I am always thinking about it, I am just playing exploitative against the recs at the same time. And I have made some crazy calls and bluffs that didn't work in the name of balance, but I have found more success with it than failure (shoved for value with second pair for 45bb, and cold five bet shoved 70bb with K10 off and both plays worked to get me chip lead at the wynn where william was when he made this call I assume, but never against recs because the four bettor has to be a pro to make this play and I have to think he is bluffing, so I am looking for tells as well, the play sounds crazy but he was trying to give himself a good price, and with AA or KK a pro would put a bigger raise in there to put people to the test and to knock out a couple of possible callers, and I block KK, this is suicide against recs but puts alot of pros on their back foot against you, and I showed, because it was a sweet play), when I am playing out a final day against tougher competition, which happens all the time. I would agree that William can fold here if he doesn't know the players, but if he did think the euro guy was a winner and had played more with him, would you assume balance in some of these spots from him, and some thin value betting when william doesn't raise flop? If you think someone is a winner what strategy are they using in these games to win that money? Are we just not seeing balance or thin betting a lot at 5-10 in LA? I'm seeing pretty strong play in tournaments in Vegas (and well known players), and Cash in Vegas too starting at these stakes he's playing for in this hand at the main casinos here. Anyone who plays in LA and feels qualified feel free to answer this for me.

  6. no time to be calling there, bro! sizable raise on that flop, and be very concerned if someone calls it.

  7. Watch out for some of those Japanese poker tourists too…they take the game quite seriously and are out for profits. Not sure how many of them make it to Calif as of yet, but i know groups of them go to Vegas for extended stays (and when i say groups, i mean groups…another reason to keep an eye on them, if you get my drift…i've played at tables with like 3 Japanese players who never seemed to play pots against each other and of course who the love understands what they are saying, and naturally they all have their cell phones or tablets going at the same time too…). I have heard some British players play teams too, by the way, and that in London collusion is a real and fairly prevalent problem.

I mean I'm all for competition and all but there is a point where some people take making money to another level.
