  1. I would not recommend listening to music. I don't know about other people but my concentration goes down significantly. I also play chess and I noticed a big drop in my win percentage when I was listening to music. Even though chess isn't the same as poker, I think it requires an equal amount of concentration at least when you are playing alot of tables.

  2. I'd agree it steals some of your focus and attention away, but if you're grinding day in, day out, it's probably quite beneficial for motivation and sanity 🙂 Also if you're quite vigorously learning the game you should definitely focus on playing shorter sessions and taking more notes / studying as opposed to listening to music.

  3. Isn't it impossible to play online nowadays because of all the bots? I have never played online, but I've read a few articles claiming that bots are all over the place. Where would you recommend me to start to play a little?

  4. It's absolutely still possible to play and make money! The majority of bots are present at the lower stakes games, and generally speaking, bots are awful at playing poker if you're a clever player.

I'd recommend starting somewhere like 888 Poker. You'll get a great sign-up bonus and deal there at PokerVIP.com.
