  1. I feel the best line here is just to check call. Like you said depending on the player, but as described the only real hands V has are AQo with the As, AA with the As and some sets. I feel the lead on the river was a bad line to take because of exactly what happened, Hero was blown off his hand. Just check call and bluff catch, especially holding the Qs.

  2. it seems like the entire analysis was thrown off from the flop when you both agreed the hero did not have a spade in his hand. would you have played it differently knowing from the beginning that you had the Qs?

  3. This is a pretty interesting situation on the turn, because while we picked up a ton of new outs, our existing draw also weakened considerably, and our top pair is really only a bluff catcher. So without the Q of spade, this is actually much closer to a fold, than it might seem at first glance.

With the Q of spade the turn is a clear call, but because none of our many outs are to the nuts, almost regardless of the river card I dont feel, we should ever lead the river. Its totally fine, if Villain check back and muck his hand, after we show him the straight.

  4. Plus the Only bluffs on this river are high level air and blocker bluffs, if our opponent isn't doing that it's an easy fold.
