Poker has come a long way. Time was, being capped meant you were at the mercy of your opponents. But is that still the case?

In this week’s video, Uri takes a look at Brad Owens’ poker Youtube channel, and dissects a hand where Brad finds himself in a difficult spot that most of us can relate to – you flop the nuts, but then along comes the river, to change everything… followed by a big pile of chips pushed into the pot by our opponent.

Does Brad have to shrug and call, or did he miss an opportunity to make a big hero fold? Tune in to hear Uri walk us through the best way to approach these spots.

  1. Great example and analysis.
Yes, this was a clear fold on river. Just because I have 4:1 does not justify making a losing call. (seems too expensive to pay 200bb just to see the hand that beat me….lol).
    .
What missing in this video is the part of preflop hand and table structure (assuming this was $10/10…the positions of the players, then who opened, was this 3bet pfr..etc.) and the villain’ profile and H profile, to be able to put myself in H seat from the start of the hand.

  2. “H’s range is capped to nut flush”…ok. I got that.
Now, Q: in high stakes, how often do players bluff the nut flush when they “read” that the opponent has it?

  3. It's one of those spots where you have to know what level your opponent is playing at. Unless you think he is a sicko, then folding against nearly every pool would be the exploiatative play. It's completely fine to bet fold the river, just come to that decision before you bet and it makes the fold so much easier.

  4. First time here, i get it in my reccommended. Come for the poker, staying for the promoción of the page mixed in the video, it's actually pretty funny and the analysis is good btw
