  1. In this situation on the river, I think villain player type has to come into play.
I agree somewhat with what you're saying about betting for value and making sure you're betting for value frequently enough. I also think that there is a lot of value in 1-2 to play a little on the passive side here.
Omcs will fold worse and call better hands, where some fish will call a lot of worse hands and raise better.
Money not lost is value in 1-2.

  2. This guys super results oriented if he thought at any moment he’s betting too thin on the river here

  3. U can't "open" for $13 if a couple of players have already limped in front of u… drives me crazy how many people in poker use the word "open" instead of saying "raise" when they're not opening the betting. Not that hard to understand, u know?

  4. flop bet seems pretty small to me in a multiway pot, especially with the drawy board..is this hand really strong enough to essentially slow-play?

  5. I don't agree. J9 got there, you were already behind kt,qt, at, qq. Kj bricked by the river. And remember four people saw this flop and only one called. He's likely not floating a bet into 4 people with backdoor diamonds. You think kq will pay 3 streets on this texture? You check this river back because you hope he has a queen with additional equity or a draw and once those hands have bricked all you can do is take advantage of the fact that you have position to get a free showdown. What hand calls down four ways three streets with top pair on a paired board?
