  1. Great video! Did you forget the intro on the first upload?

I was going to ask this question in regards to the third suggestion about raising boards against the pre flop bettor when it misses his range.

I play with the same group of players and my opening range in EP is pretty snug. A10s+ AJo+ 99+. I will C bet 1/2 pot, for example AQo on a board of 7,4,2 rainbow and get reraised 2.5x. I believe they know my opening range is likely a big Ace. Should I open up my range occasionally to avoid these spots so that I'm not so transparent? Or should I just be checking the flop more when I wiff? I try to balance by checking the flop with top top or if I have a pair higher than the board. sometimes

  2. I used to consistently check-raise with all draws on the flop when the board isn’t a part of the C-betters’s range. I play on GlobalPoker. Something unusual seems to be occurring. All of a sudden I’ve lost a lot of money. The runouts have been horrendous for me lately. The point is, at times it’s like an opponent literally knows my cards. I’ve been 3-bet shoved time after time on the flop lately. These aren’t even maniacs that are doing it.

Either something immoral is going on or this is as bad as anyone can ever loveing run. I have been very successful, playing 6-Max 2/1 NLH. The only thing I can think of is that one of the ways I’ve been successful is by calling big bluffs. People are perhaps betting me big for value as a result. Hell if I know. I’m no where near unbalanced enough for balance to be the sole reason.

*By, “all draws”, I mean gut shots, back door high flush, and better; not exactly two over-cards.

Update: I’ve tried all sorts of different strategies lately and I have managed to lose all of the $1,050 that I acquired, starting out with only $100, and I’ve lost an additional $275. WTF is going on??!!??!!??!! I always played 2/1. That’s where I had that success. I made it in the course of 3 or 4 sessions. How did I go from being that successful, to God awful?

  3. Do you think it could make sense to open limp very strong pocket pairs (QQ-AA) from early position (UTG – UTG +1 at a 9-seat table) with the intention to 3bet a likely raise? I play in a lot of VERY soft games where even if I make it 7-8 BB pre from UTG I may get called down by 4-5 players and will be put in a difficult spot postflop. In these games there is also almost always a raise pre so by limping QQ-AA from UTG I will almost always have the opportunity to 3bet. Many players will also call 3bets very light because "hey, how can I fold if I don't even see the flop??". I personally think limping QQ-AA from early position and then being able to 3bet maybe 85-90% of the time vs. 1 raiser who typically makes it around 5-6 BB and often at least 1-2 callers is probably more profitable then constantly ending up in some 4-5 way pots. What's your thoughts on this?
