  1. Are you usually the best player at the table? Also, here is why 95% of poker players end up losing everything https://youtu.be/zToW-u15eqA

  2. i feel like your videos would benefit from a different format. like if you went over the ideas behind the video instead of making a list it would make for better videos.

  3. #3 is so key. Makes me face palm every time I see a reg berate fish in chat or talk strat using advanced concepts to look smart.

  4. In tournament play, my 3 bet % is about 5% to 7% to 9%.

In cash games my 3 bet % is bout 7% to 10% to 13%

In tournaments, my 3 bet range is QT suited, QJ, KT suited, KJ, KQ, A8 suited to AK, 66 to AA. The bottom part of range, like QT is 3 bet about 10% to 20% to 30% of the time, and folded, especially out of position about 68% to 88% + of time, depend on lots of f nuances.

The middle of my range like KQ suited, A9, AT, AJ, 99, TT,etc, is 3bet about 20% to 30% to 40% of time.

The top part of my 3 bet range is 3 bet about 50% to 65% to 80% of time.

In cash games, my 3 bet range is 98 suited, T9 suited, JT suited, QT, QJ,, J9 suited, Q9 suited, K9, KT, KJ, KQ, A6 suited to AK, 55 to AA.

The bottom part of range 3 bet about 15 to 25 to 35%

Middle part of range 3 bet about 25% to 35% to 45%

Top part of range 3 bet about 55% to 70% to 85% of time.

The reason why 3 bet less, and have a tighter 3 bet range, is 1. Because tournament not like cash game, in that every chip lost, is worth more then each chip gained, and tournament survival, which can be overrated. 2. At certain points in tournaments, players will call 3 bet more, meaning have to 3 bet less, and in certain points in tournaments players call 3 bets less, which means that must 3 bet more often during those times.

In cash games there is no tournament survival, and in cash games there isn't blinds that go up. Blinds are small relative to stack size, thus enabling limiting size of pot when 3 bet, wherein in a tournament, if 3 bet, because of big blind sizes in relation to stack sizes, pots probably will get BLOATED UP out of control, and can get into trouble fast, and potentially be out of tournament, wherein in cash games while hands like 98 suited can also get into trouble postflop, the pot size is still SEMI limited, under control, less likely to lose a lot, and even if you do, can just add on or rebuy, whereas in tournament your either out, or if do, can rebuy, your usually a SHORTER STACK, in relation to blinds, other players, etc.

Because of all the above, and my 3 bet range, it can look like I don't 3 bet hardly at all at times, and that my 3 bet range can seem tighter then it is.

And that's because even 98 suited can even be hard to get dealt, when are Semi Card Dead, are semi not getting dealt even hands like 98 suited, for 20,25, 30,35,40,45 straight hands.

And in situations where even if you dealt 98, someone bets big, all in, etc, folds out your 98, in those card dead stretches.

I think my 3 bet game is, can be both my greatest strength, and weakness of my game.

It can probably use some double checking, an or improvement.

And my 3 bet game is only semi, quasi somewhat semi quasi balanced at best.

My 3 bet game could technically be more BALANCED by 3 betting hands like 53 suited, etc, but I think doing that is too risky and gets you into trouble, despite skillful playing. If 3 bet a hand like T9 suited, while NOT a great, awesome, good hand, if called in a cash game, it has semi somewhat semi high chance of, can turn into a great hand postflop.

In that sense 3 betting 98 suited is like semi bluffing a draw, where even if called, you have equity.

But if you 3 bet 53 off, you don't have equity postflop unless you get extremely lucky, and the perfect flop hits, and or maybe you might have some postflop fold equity.

Thanks Nathan. Even Sharks need to be reminded about things like 3 betting, and need to sharpen their shark teeth

  5. I’m watching this at 4:00 CST in the US. What should I do here? I have middle chip stack but at the final table when blinds get big it takes too many rounds of dealing to get a betting hand thus I lose a lot of chips getting blinded off and one losing hand cripples me. How can I change to play better here? Long time listener to your YouTube channel. Thanks, Phil M

  6. I don't like sign number 2, there's plenty of +EV spots to play those hands, for example defending blinds, or stealing blind vs blind, maybe you're heads up or 3, 4 handed and there's a bunch of spots in which you would play these hands and I think that's worth mentioning.

  7. Despite the economic downturn, I'm so happy 😁. I have been earning $60,200 returns from my $7,000 investment every 13days.

  8. Sign 1, 2, and 3 I can check off the list with ease, but 4 and 5 are what you'd call "leaks" for me
