  1. Iirc he actually laughed, announced he tossed pocketed aces, and kind of teared up after the reveal.

The context of the situation is that the Big Game is an all pro + 1 amateur, $100k-500k buy in, no limit game, that ends after 150 hands. The “loose cannon” amateur is always staked a $100k min buy in, but only gets to keep whatever they have OVER $100k once the 150 hands are played.

This guy was a school teacher and one of the previous hands, he had just won a pot of over 200k against Phil Hellmuth (which is also a hilarious clip in and of itself).

He was visibly trembling and overwhelmed. Afterwards he then managed to stay disciplined enough to turtle up for the remaining 50 or so hands, tossing down multiple pocket pairs and high connectors. After everything was done, he broke down while calling his wife, crying and saying he’d done well.

  2. If he doesn‘t want Play Aces he should Show to the Others and Go All In, Easy blinds.

  3. Fake show, they told him to fold, that's a sure one. Show me a clip or a game that fold aces preflop. They do this kind of game play for newbies

  4. If it's illegal to check the best possible hand on the river when last to act then it should be illegal to fold the best possible hand before the flop.

  5. He folded here because he was up big like 150k on the initial 100k he was staked for the show risk free and he gets to keep the profits. It’s pot limit so he even folded aces because if it wasn’t he could have just gone all in and picked up the dead money
