Doyle Brunson is a legendary professional poker player and author. He was born on August 10, 1933, in Longworth, Texas. Brunson attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, where he played basketball and graduated with a degree in education. After college, Brunson started playing poker and eventually became one of the best players in the world.

Brunson has won 10 World Series of Poker bracelets, including two back-to-back Main Event championships in 1976 and 1977. He has also won numerous other poker tournaments and has been inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.

In addition to his success as a poker player, Brunson has authored several poker strategy books, including “Super/System”, which is widely considered one of the most influential poker books ever written. He has also appeared in several poker-related television shows and movies.

Despite health issues in recent years, Brunson remains an active player and continues to be a respected figure in the world of poker. He is known for his aggressive playing style, his ability to read opponents, and his overall skill and knowledge of the game.
