The biggest question asked in poker…How to Recover from Poker Losses? I just played a huge cash game session on Poker Night in America in Choctaw, Oklahoma. It was a 2-day session, each one lasting about 8 hours. After the first day I was stuck about $15,000. Things simply didn’t go my way. I faced a disastrous combination of bad decisions and bad luck. I went 0-4 in river decisions, folding when they were bluffing and calling when they had it. Not a good way to win at poker.

After a power call to my wife, I left feeling encouraged. In this video I share some of the insights, strategies and hacks I use to turn my momentum around, recover from downswings and engineer positivity into my poker sessions. Check this video and hear my poker tips.

  1. you're the best at focusing in on the mental / non-hand-analysis side of poker… great stuff once again!

  2. Man same thing just happened to me I went up from $100 to $10,000 in 2 months playing cash games. I walked into a game where I've never played lost good hands when I had it and some players ran their mouth I was bleeding and tilted I lost everything. The only thing thats helping me ATM is I bet $500 on Nba basketball and won so right now I'm at $1,000 I'm taking a break from poker but any advice anyone could give me? I'm thinking about taking a break for 6 months, Very hard loss I felt and I got bullied and just got flat out outplayed I want to bounce back and go to my winning ways.

  3. You made me remember to record my insights based on losses, a very important step.

  4. Just bubbled out of a huge tournament, I needed to hear this. If anyone is interested, I raised I the small blind with AQ off (nobody else was in the hand besides me and the BB), bb shoves on me and I call. He had Q3o, caught a 3, and there was the end of my journey. loveing painful.
