If you’re playing live poker in Las Vegas during the World Series of Poker you need to figure out a few different things.
First of all, figure out which tournaments you are going to play or if you’re going to focus on live cash games.
It’s typical during any big poker tournament series that the casino cash games will also have a lot of action, Las Vegas during the W.S.O.P is even crazier than you can imagine.
Second, you have to make sure your poker bankroll can stay stocked for play if Las Vegas isn’t your home.
This means either traveling with your money or getting money in the city when you arrive.
Selling action or being staked is also an option, selling to your friends is one way and advertising on one of the few poker staking websites that do that is another.
Finally you want to make sure your lodging or housing situation is sorted in a way that is likely to increase your ability to feel at home.
Phil suggests finding a way to shorten your commute time by figuring out what you would like to play and where those games will run and then find a spot local to that location.
Maintaining a healthy level of rest and stamina is important and that’s going to be difficult if you have an hour long drive to the home you and your friends rented; if it’s economically feasible, staying at the hotel you’re playing at is always a good way to keep your commute as low as possible.

Do you intend to play any events this year?.
Could you go into more detail about how to get the money there? If I plan on playing the millionaire maker ($1500 buy in) but don’t wanna fly with 5k in cash on me, can I buy tournament tickets online somehow?
It would be very interesting to know if and how you prepare in terms of the game. Do you lookup players, go into specific strategy content etc.?

When you stay for the whole series (1,5/2months) I doubt staying at the hotel is the best to feel relaxed.
Ok you can rest at breaks or between re-entry’s easily, but being On the strip for so long.. I prefer villa nearby personnaly
